Does the quality of label paper and printing ribbon/carbon ribbon have any impact on barcode printers? Dengyuan tells you that it has a very important impact.
Use matching consumables to print out good results:
1. Wax-based ribbon - coated paper stickers, etc.
2. Mixed-based ribbon - coated paper stickers, clothing tags, some matte jewelry labels, etc.
3. Full resin ribbon - PET, PVC, jewelry labels, etc.
4. Washable label ribbon - non-woven fabric, ribbon, etc.
Whether the user's operation is correct has a great impact on the length of the barcode printer's service life, such as temperature, pressure and other machine settings and applications, the correct use and cleaning of the barcode ribbon, etc.
Whether general maintenance is implemented according to the usage, whether the maintenance actions are correct (including the use of maintenance tools and methods), and whether regular professional maintenance and adjustment are complete, all of the above points affect the service life of the barcode printer.
Please turn off the power of the barcode printer when not in use, so that the machine can be kept at a low temperature as much as possible. It is best to wait 5 to 10 minutes between turning on and off the power, and try to place it in a cleaner environment. If the above conditions are met, the life of the barcode printer will be extended by at least 5%.
The barcode print head is the most fragile and vulnerable component in a barcode printer. It is a consumable item like a car and will eventually break down. However, constant maintenance and proper cleaning of the dirt caused by the barcode ribbon layer can extend the life of the barcode print head.
To achieve the best effect, the barcode print head needs to be cleaned once each roll of ribbon or thermal paper is used. Note that when cleaning the barcode print head, the ring needs to be removed to prevent scratching the barcode print head, and a grounding metal belt or anti-static pad should be used to prevent static electricity from damaging the barcode print head.
You can use a cotton swab soaked in 70% alcohol, turn off the printer power and open the barcode print head, use a small amount of cotton cloth to brush the mechanical part of the printer, or gently blow away the dust (such as: roller, paper/ribbon sensor and barcode print head). Do not use any hard metal or abrasive tools (such as screwdrivers) to grind the pollutants produced by the barcode ribbon of the barcode print head.
Warm Tips: Press a cotton swab with alcohol on the barcode print head and wipe it from top to bottom, then rotate the roller and wipe it while rotating. Do not use the cotton swab if it is dirty.
